5905 Corporate Ave is the Hyatt House Cypress/Anaheim, a 142-room extended-stay hotel built in 2011 with an onsite restaurant, fitness center, and approximately 1,200 sq ft of meeting space. Hotel operations drive continuous HVAC, lighting, laundry, and kitchen energy loads across a mid-rise hospitality building.

Like most CYPRESS businesses, the site was paying high Peak rates and large Demand charges — the kind of bill structure that punishes daytime energy use and penalizes the very hours commercial properties consume the most power. The result was a Levelized Cost Of Energy (LCOE) of $1.16/kWh from PG&E, reduced to $0.02/kWh with SolarPorts.

SolarPorts evaluated their power usage and proposed a right-sized 150 kW solar system for on-site generation delivered as 4 SolarPort carport structures above the parking lot.

The system is designed to produce roughly 319,196 AC kWh of clean energy each year, an estimated $148,800 in year-one utility offsets, and around $11,100,000 in net lifetime savings — turning a recurring operating-cost into a long-term, predictable energy hedge.
